"Hi Jodie, thank you for all your support over the last two years. It will be strange not coming to sessions anymore, but as you said, 'I am ready and can trust my own ability to manage things now.'
I wouldn’t have the tools I have today had it not been for you, but more transformational was the genuine care I felt from you and the space in which I felt unconditionally held.
I now know I don’t have to tolerate people treating me poorly. I am open to trusting others again—with evidence. Abuse has no place in my life anymore."

EMDR Intensive Testimonials:
My husband and I would like to offer our feedback regarding the Intense One-Day EMDR therapy that you conducted.
I would strongly recommend it to anyone who has suffered trauma. My husband found the one-day intensive session to be incredibly powerful and it helped resolve his trauma by the end of the session. It’s worth noting that, prior to this session, there were a few initial sessions to gather the relevant details and a follow-up session to ensure progress.
Firstly, we cannot thank you enough for being our guardian angel. You entered our lives at the perfect moment, when I felt as though my world was falling apart, seeing my husband sink into severe depression due to his trauma returning after five years. That’s when I suggested to the private doctor that EMDR therapy might help, and he referred us to you. Below is a brief account of his experience, which I hope may help others who are facing similar challenges:
Five years ago, following a routine medical procedure, my husband faced a series of traumatic incidents involving inadequate care. From an insensitive procedure performed by a doctor to being discharged with no instructions for managing his condition, the entire experience was overwhelming and left him with trauma. Despite receiving further medical attention, including mental health support, the trauma persisted and continued to affect his well-being.
In 2024, when similar health issues resurfaced, he began to spiral into depression, fearing a repeat of the past. He kept the severity of his condition hidden, avoiding discussing it until I confronted him with my concern. It was then that we sought further medical help, and I suggested EMDR therapy as a potential solution.
After a referral from his doctor, we contacted you. I emailed you, and despite your very busy schedule, you responded promptly, outlining your timescales. From the start, you were incredibly kind and sympathetic.
My husband’s first session was face-to-face, as he struggled to concentrate on Zoom. He was very anxious, as his previous counselling experiences had not been good, and he requested that I be present in the room with him. You were so understanding and allowed me to support him throughout. My husband immediately connected with you,
Jodie, as you are genuinely kind, caring, and sympathetic. After that, he attended all subsequent Zoom sessions alone. During these sessions, you would suggest ways forward, and I always encouraged him to follow your advice and put your suggestions into practice. For therapy to work effectively, it requires collaboration, and we understood that.
After a few one-on-one sessions, and once you had gathered all the relevant details, you agreed that he was ready for the intense one-day session. My husband found it intense and emotional to confront his trauma, but it was so powerful that, afterwards, he felt incredibly happy, as though a massive weight had been lifted from his shoulders. He felt like a normal person again and no longer feared facing medical health issues.
If anyone is reading this feedback, I apologise for the length, but it is entirely factual. My husband and I strongly recommend the one-day intensive EMDR sessions, as they truly work their magic.
Client EMDR Testimonial 2
I have found the emdr intensive an effective way to process my trauma. I have benefited from the intensive emdr days where we have been able to process a lot more than we would have (over many individual sessions over a much longer period).
For anybody starting emdr I would recommend doing an intensive day because of the uninterrupted, significant progress that can be made in one day.
I found it to be more efficient and avoids having to hold semi processed trauma for long periods in between sessions. I also like the way we work together as a team and are both focused on the work. It feels like the best way to approach difficult memories as you have the sustained support and interest of the therapist without the fear that you will be left alone with difficult memories.
Client EMDR Intensive Testimonial 3
I have been seeing Jodie for several years now and recently came in for a six hour EMDR intensive. It was admittedly very daunting to walk into (especially on a Sunday!) but in true Jodie fashion, it was an incredibly safe, meaningful, and deeply enlightening experience.
We were able to efficiently broach several aspects of my trauma that have impacted my experiences for decades whilst maintaining a pace that was comfortable for me.
I was able to take breaks as and when necessary, and the space was comfortable, relaxed and unassuming. Lastly, and importantly for me, Jodie brought in her sweet dog Izzy who was able to be both a source of comfort and release, and also lighten the mood when needed.
