EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing
EMDR is a highly effective type of integrative therapy designed to address trauma (PTSD and CPTSD). During sessions, clients are encouraged to bring to mind particular memories while the therapist employs bilateral stimulation techniques, like eye movements or tapping, to assist in reprocessing those memories towards a healthier resolution. Typically, it takes about 6 to 10 sessions to work through a single memory. I have utilised EMDR to support clients in processing isolated traumatic events, such as accidents, and frequently assist those dealing with Complex PTSD stemming from experiences like childhood abuse, multiple sexual assaults, neglect, and bullying.
I am a certified practitioner with EMDR UK/EUROPE.Please do refer to my blogs and testimonials for more information.
