Systemic Counselling
What is Systemic counselling?
Systemic therapy is used for families or groups of people and addresses clients as part of a system as opposed to an individual. It looks at the patterns and dynamics in between the individuals within the group and how the group functions as a whole. The process helps to uncover communication difficulties and unhelpful patterns of behaviour within the system.
It is believed that by making small changes within one part of the system, it will effect other parts of the system.
This approach is helpful in supporting people with a wide range of issues including eating disorders, addiction, depression, anxiety, low self esteem and relationship or family problems.
